01- Where it Begins

For Jackie and Derek, this began some time ago, back in the UK. I'll have to let them tell their story on their blog, because, well, it is their story, isn't it?

This is sort-of my view, and that, as seen through my lens - figurative and literal - tends to be a biased perspective. Such is life.

Anyway, here are the Silver Surfers sitting in our "Koala Café":

Silver Surfers, sans moi, but that's a good thing

Jackie and Derek had started their holidays six weeks before, visiting family in Perth, then spending almost four weeks on the east coast. These are the easiest people to be around I have ever known -- this holiday is going to be a splendid one!
We live in a beautiful spot on earth: going home to Redland Bay from work in Coopers Plains is a bit like going on holidays every evening:

So, why would we want to go to Hawai`i?
